DESCRIPTION OF THE SITE An area of open moorland with mixed woodland and an upland stream (Burbage Brook) traversed by a number of established footpaths. BEST TIMES TO VISIT Can be productive at any time, but particularly good in spring and summer for migrants. SPECIAL BIRDS - (at an appropriate time of year) Cuckoo, Dipper, Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Green Woodpecker, Pied Flycatcher, Raven, Redstart, Tree Pipit, all three Wagtails, Wheatear, Wood Warbler and most woodland birds.
